OLUDARE OLAREWAJU President of Association of Nigeria Software Tester

First and foremost, I would like to thank all members for their confidence in Association of Nigeria Software Testers (ANST), members of the board of trustees, immediate past executives and the current executives.

Without mincing words, I would like to sincerely thank you all as stakeholders of ANST for the confidence you have in me to serve as the President of this great tech-based association in the next 2 years.

As I mentioned in my manifesto, the ANST board and the new executives would work on initiatives that will:

1. Promote economic and professional growth of every member of ANST.
2. Make ANST’s Software Testers/Quality Assurance Engineers to be more relevant and valuable in the Nigerian and the global tech communities.
3. Promote win-win relationship between our members and their employers(local and foreign) to stress greater co-operation that will make the employers’ businesses to grow, create more software testing job opportunities and consequently boost Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product(GDP).
4. Encourage many undergraduates, graduates and other professionals (who want career change) to join our community and add great value.

All the above-mentioned goals and the other ones (that will be added subsequently) cannot be achieved by the ANST board and the new executives without full supports of the members of this our great community.

Therefore, I would like to encourage you all to work with the ANST board and the new executives to continue to make ANST a great and value-adding association that will not only be adding values to its members but also to our nation (called Nigeria) through improvement in testing profession, increase in number of competent and certified members, innovation, best practices and human capital development in tech.
